Anyone can make a book available online. We believe putting a Christian publishing imprint on a book carries a greater responsibility.
The Rev 1211 name is intended to represent biblical integrity, theological accountability, professional publishing standards, and a publishing house willing to stand behind the work it releases.
Manuscript Review
We first determine whether the manuscript aligns with our mission, publishing standards, and the work we believe we can steward well.
Theological Review
Biblical and theological claims are evaluated and concerns may require clarification, support, revision, or removal before publication.
Scripture Review
Scripture references, quotations, identified translations, and biblical context receive additional review.
Editorial Review
The manuscript moves through the applicable editorial and professional publishing process before final release.
Imprint Approval
The book receives final approval before being published under the Rev 1211 Publishing House name.
Rev 1211 theological review reflects our publishing standards and does not mean every Christian denomination or tradition will agree with every secondary theological position expressed by an author.
NOBODY CAN READ EVERY BOOK FIRST.
A Christian retailer, pastor, ministry leader, parent, teacher, or reader cannot personally evaluate every manuscript before deciding what to stock, recommend, teach from, or place into someone's hands.
That is part of the responsibility of a publishing house. The imprint should provide another layer of accountability between the author and the reader.
The author is not the only person who decided the manuscript was ready.
Books carrying our imprint come with a publishing process and accountability beyond the author alone.
